Take a look at the working world of the trainees and find out what makes training at LEWA special.

Apprenticeships at LEWA

At the start of training in September each year, we are looking for junior trainees in four different training professions – both in the technical and commercial fields.

We attach great importance to …

Professional competence

In order to maintain our pioneering role in the industry, it is essential to work with expert employees.

Methodological competence

Methodological competence forms the basis for the ability to acquire new professional competence and is therefore indispensable.

Social competence

Social skills are essential for harmonious cooperation and a pleasant working atmosphere.

Voices of our trainees

“LEWA has a superbly equipped training workshop. The trainers always get the best out of the trainees. The working atmosphere is also based on a family atmosphere, which is also strengthened by the joint trainee events.”

Pamela Sprenger, apprentice mechatronics technician

“I have felt at home since the first day of my apprenticeship. As an apprentice at LEWA, you are given good guidance and lots of opportunities to get involved in different areas. I particularly enjoy working in the social media team and the projects with our partner kindergarten.”

Marlene Stöhr, apprentice industrial mechanic

“As a dual student, I always receive a warm welcome in the departments and am supported by experienced colleagues in the tasks of my studies. It’s particularly great that I can help decide on the specialist focus of the practical phases according to my own interests and thus shape the course of my studies.”

Annika Thiele, dual student of mechanical engineering with a major in design and development

“The great thing about the commercial apprenticeship at LEWA is that you quickly get to know different areas of the company, including assembly and parts production, where you gain practical knowledge. You quickly become part of the team and are soon able to work independently, even as an apprentice. The workplace equipment is also top-notch.”

Michael Diebold, trainee industrial clerk
